6th Graduation Ceremony at KIITEC
The 6th Graduation ceremony took place on Friday september 26th 2014. In front of the Guest of Honour, the management and the teaching staff, 21 students received their NTA 6 Diploma, a National award, recognizing their three year academic successes with KIITEC. The 110 students of Year 1, Year 2 and 3 attended the ceremony along with their parents, extended familly and friends , in a joyfull and friendly atmosphere, with music , songs and dances prepared and delivered by the students on the Institute campus. The Guest of Honour was his Excellence Marc Basseporte, Honorary Consul of France in Arusha region. Were also attending, Mr. Jean-Pierre Acquadro, President of ADEI, and Mr. Francis Brochon, President of FTE, the Foundation for Technical Education.

KIITEC Recognized With Full NACTE Accreditation Status Certificate at Official Ceremony
Last week, KIITEC’s Principal Onesmo Matei, was invited to the National Conference for Rectors and Principals of Institutes and Colleges Regulated by NACTE to represent KIITEC in its accreditation accomplishments. Honourable Dr. S.J. Kawambwa (MP), the Minister of Education and Vocational Training of Tanzania presented the Accreditation Status Certificate to Mr. Matei during the official ceremony.

KIITEC Trainer Successfully Awarded Internationally Recognised Certificate for the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Sector
Mr. Omari Abdallah, an Assistant Teacher at KIITEC, was successfully awarded the Galileo Master Certificate by the European Energy Committee (EEC) this November. Over the past few months, Mr. Omari has been working hard through distance learning courses to upgrade his skills in Solar Photovoltaic and Solar Water Heating.

Female KIITEC Graduate Receives Top Marks

The Kenya Association of Technical Training Institutions (KATTI), in collaboration with the Kenyan Ministry of Education hosted its first East African Regional Conference on TVET under the theme “The Role of TVET in the Development Agenda of Africa”. The event took place from August 25th – 30th, 2013 at the Sai Rock Hotel in Mombasa, Kenya.

Donated Solar Kit Provides Light for Masai Primary School
As part of the series of events taking place during the Open Door Days at KIITEC, a special journey to the Olmekeke Masai village was completed to deliver a solar panel kit for the local inhabitants. This gift provided light to the classrooms in the local primary school and a cell phone battery charger available to the villagers.

Inaugural KIITEC Open Door Days Deemed A Great Success
From November 19th – 29th, 2012, KIITEC hosted it's inaugural Open Door Days in Arusha, Tanzania. Hosted by KIITEC’s partners, Schneider Electric, FTE, ADEI and Power Technics the event was organized to share good practices and encourage a practical, relevant and high-quality learning experience to students interested in developing a career in the technical field. With over 100 participants, the Open Door Days event was deemed a great success!

KIITEC Graduate Honoured At Awards Ceremony in Recognition of his Exemplary Teaching Service
On Saturday, November 3, 2012 KIITEC Graduate George Mcharo received a special award for his exemplary performance as a Physics and Information and Computer Technology teacher at the School of St. Jude in Arusha, Tanzania. Mcharo is the first teacher in St. Jude’s 10-year history to receive such an award, and was praised by the administration as an incredibly bright and dedicated teacher who is helping to change the lives of so many young students interested in science and technology.

It’s that time of year again at KIITEC! A new batch of eager students are working toward gaining acceptance into KIITEC’s next round of technical education programmes. Throughout the next couple of months, a select panel comprising KIITEC’s principal, senior teachers and European volunteers will undergo recruitment evaluation assessments, as outlined in ADEI's quality control plan, to determine next year’s class of technicians in training.

The team visit KIITEC and the principal of the institute, informed the team of the need for regulating authorities and curriculum developers to involve stake holders including the industries, teachers and private training institutions and to ensure that the vocational training curriculum is relevant to the industry needs.

Tanzania : KIITEC Awards Best Students
Arusha — Suye-based Kilimanjaro International Institute for Telecommunications Electronics and Computers (KIITEC) last week awarded a total of US Dollars 4,000 to its best performing students.
